Aligner Orthodontics and how to improve the virtually planned treatment outcome with auxiliaries

In orthodontic treatments, several different auxiliaries can be used to address a variety of malocclusions. Since the introduction of TAD’s (temporary anchor devices) in the 1980’s, they have helped to broaden the spectrum of orthodontic treatments- primarily used with fixed appliances. With the increase of aligner orthodontics during the last twenty years, TADs have also become a valuable option to achieve optimal results in combining those techniques. The presentation will show various treatment examples of aligner orthodontics and the combination with TADs, allowing thus to improve the virtually planned treatment outcome.

L’orthodontie par aligneur et comment améliorer le résultat du traitement virtuellement planifié avec les auxiliaires

Dans les traitements orthodontiques, plusieurs auxiliaires différents peuvent être utilisés pour traiter une variété de malocclusions. Depuis l’introduction des TAD (temporary anchor devices – dispositifs d’ancrage temporaire) dans les années 1980, ils ont contribué à élargir le spectre des traitements orthodontiques – principalement utilisés avec des appareils fixes. Avec l’augmentation de l’orthodontie par alignement au cours des vingt dernières années, les TAD sont également devenus une option précieuse pour obtenir des résultats optimaux en combinant ces techniques. La conférence présentera divers exemples de traitements d’orthodontie par aligneur et la combinaison avec les TAD, permettant ainsi d’améliorer le résultat du traitement virtuellement planifié.
